Does anyone have any information on how to film underwater. I've looked into underwater cameras and they're way to expensive. Some Underwater camera casings are around $1000 but has anyone seen anything out there more affordable that would allow our proudction team to film underwater?
Any help is appreciated.

I saw a underwater case for a BOLEX 16mm on www.ebay.com the other day. It might still be there.

Check out the website of a marine video equipment manufacturer called Amphibico. Their URL is (you guessed it) :
www.amphibico.com
They make DV camera housings and underwater lights. Their site also has the facility to locate your nearest Amphibico dealer - if you cannot afford to buy - enquire about hiring.
Don't forget, under water, a lense's focal length is reduced by about 30%, so ie, a 12mm lens becomes the equivalent to a 16mm lens. So shoot wider than you would normally. Assuming you are shooting in a pool, set your white balance at the depth you plan to shoot, unless you want the blue cast.
